Sometime in 2012, a new website sprung onto the Weebly scene. It's Ella-Mentry brought a more contemplative approach to personal sites than was usual during the time. The owner of this site used the pseudonym of Ella, and though her blog was centered on her own opinions, she didn't mention her private life often. At least, not on that website.
Ella Mentry and I, Jazelyn, are the same person.
I launched that website because I was too scared to be serious on this website. Ella wanted to start discussions; Jazelyn wanted to stay lighthearted. It's Ella-Mentry was a rough draft for what this website is now. Many of the opinions I posted there are now outdated. It was too showy for my current tastes. And once I realized that this site doesn't have to be limited to the guidelines set by other creators, I didn't see the need to hold on to Ella.
I have deleted most of its pages and the entire site could be taken off the web in a few months. Nonetheless, I'm glad I decided to make It's Ella-Mentry. It was fun to say what was on my mind through an anonymous speaker. But now, I'm much more satisfied knowing I'm developing a clearer identity for myself.
