It's a nice look, isn't it? Sleek, sophisticated. With a nice hint of spearmint green. At least, that's what it looks like on my end.
Yes, this is the first post on the new and (hopefully) improved jazelyn.weebly.com. To all the new friends, hey! Hello! How are you? I'm good, thanks for asking! I hope you enjoy your time here! There's not much at the moment but that should change over time.
As for everyone else who visited in the past and might be wondering what in the world happened here, you deserve an explanation. You may know that for a long time, I have been wanting to make some changes to this website. I say "some" changes because many aspects of the site became a part of me that I didn't want to let go. Well, if you remember the old site at all, you know that basically everything has changed. (Except the fact that this blog is still called The Journal of the Internet.)
All the important things are still drifting around in the vast and magical spaces of the Internet. The old Journal of the Internet and all of its posts can still be found here, whereas the Books n' Writing Blog is intact, as well. Most of the changes deal with personal aesthetic. The old website felt cluttered. A lot of the pages existed because it was the type of content I saw when I first started out, and like I said, I was too touchy to delete it.
Fortunately, some time passed and I accepted that this website would be truer to myself if I let it become what I wanted it to be. No more site pets, game widgets, or other weird customs that all personal websites shared circa 2010. I wanted a fresh start and I wanted it to represent me, no matter how boring or plain it could seem to others.
I can't promise that I'll be updating daily. I can't even promise I'll be updating monthly. But what I can promise is that each update to this blog will be one of substance, one that I am eager to share with you. I've never been more excited to fill up these blank pages, and I hope you feel the same way, too.
