Ye Journal Secrets
~If you're worrying about someone stealing your journal and reading anything private, you have a few options:
-Write in one of those invisible ink pens or lemon juice/milk pens. When you need to see it later, just shine the special light on it or leave light on it.
-Don't keep your journal out of your sight!
-Keep it anonymous. Have a pen name, don't have all your info there, or have a hard to read signature.
-Don't write anything secretive or embarrassing at all!
~Don't limit yourself to the normal writing "what I did today" setup. Draw, tape in things, write stories, take notes, do whatever!
~If you're planning on writing in journals for a while, get a lot at once. Looking through new, empty journals can encourage you to keep going!
~Make the covers of the journal to your liking. If it already has a design on it or has nice material, don't write on it. Instead, get constructed paper and write/draw whatever on it. Then, tape it on just in case you don't want it on later. If it's just a plain composition book or one-color journal, design it up!
~Don't do anything that might not work out in the end.
-Try not to rip out pages if you don't have spiral bound. Sure, you might need a quick piece of paper, but some journal spines aren't strong when you rip something out of it. I learned this the hard way! I had to tape back pages that fell out. It looked horrible!
-Be careful if you number journals before use. I accidentally gave journals numbers that have already been used! Like, I used the number 23 twice!
~Be yourself. No one else is reading this, so why act like someone is?
