Yep, now it's 3 am. I'm sure I'll stop procrastinating on that book project tomorrow. Happy watching, and g'night-morning!
It's 2:50 am, and I am here watching YouTube videos. One YouTube video, however, tends to tickle my fancy every year. Let the craziness unroll in this fantastic, feel-jerking video known as YouTube Rewind 2013! The people! The references! The memories! I probably seem very strange to you right now, but YouTube is one of my loves. No joke. I think I know everyone except one in the picture above. I even understand the goats, it's just. . . AUGH!
Yep, now it's 3 am. I'm sure I'll stop procrastinating on that book project tomorrow. Happy watching, and g'night-morning!

Yesterday was Halloween. I was a lovely Little Red Riding Hood while my brother was a zombie that threw himself onto little trick-or-treaters. But let's just forget the next big holiday, Thanksgiving, and move straight to the holidays! Because that's basically what choir at school is. Holiday, snow, bells, dinnnnngggg, donnnnnng. Yep, that's it. Now for eating mangoes in a mango tree. (Like the monkeys.) KAY BYE.
Lettuce ketchup. Get it? Lettuce ketchup. Let us catch up. *wild applause* Yes, lettuce ketchup on some more music. Because I just love my music. MyMusic, to be specific. They've featured some music by Driftless Pony Club, like this song during the finale: Mountains and Ruins. 2:20 to the end is my favorite part :) Everyone knows Imagine Dragons, right? Well thanks to Jill, I have discovered their iTunes Live Session of Radioactive! Ah-mazing! Now for one of those radio pop hit songs that gets in my head, Clarity by Zedd. I just really like her voice! Discovering songs on YouTube is awesome. And so is Eyes Closed by The Narrative! Ingrid Michaelson is an amazing artist, and I have discovered one of her supposed songs on the Tube, Mosquito. It doesn't sound that much like her, but I still like the song. Here we go! It the night of the advanced music programs concert at my school, and I was chilling in the car when I heard this song on the radio: Cops and Robbers by Bean! It's really catchy! Related videos are really awesome, because you end up finding good songs you weren't really looking for. Because of the video above, I found the strange Cops and Robbers by, not Bean, but The Hoosiers! Well, I found the orchestra piece that Dan Black sampled for Symphonies. If you like orchestra pieces that are beautiful, this one's for you. Here's Starman by the City of Prague Philharmonic. Who knows what the video's about, but you know. Michael Jackson? Is that Michael Jackson? Just listen to the darn music! For the Avatar lovers out there, Adriana Figueroa uploaded an original song for Yue from the series, called Daughter Of The Moon. I love the ending and her voice, oh gawsh! Now for some cool music videos! The one on the left is How To Write An Indie Rock Anthem (watch until the very end!), and the other one is the Evolution of Music by Pentatonix (ze harmonies! even the "hey", what the heckkkk)
Well, that was the longest "music time" we've ever had. If you read and watched all of this one video at a time, you've spent about 40 minutes on this post! Which you probably haven't. Cuz' I'm pretty sure I have the strangest taste in music that you guys aren't interested in. You know, whatever! This is sort of my way of recording music I like.
By the way, there's no school for me today. In case you're wondering, "Ummm, it's 1:00 over there, Jazelyn! Water you doing?" I actually only have a two-day school week, and I'm soooo happy! I've been working hard for the past 2 months. 2 months already, eh? I've already finished a book. Gotta work on the Ashes of Twilight book review, even though I already wrote a *mediocre* 6-paragraph essay on it. I guess I do my best when I'm interested in what I'm doing. I mean, I was interested in the book, not writing a 6-paragraph essay about it. . . Hmm, that was a l-o-n-g post. At least I can listen to 40 minutes of music while studying for the science test I have only day to study for. Le sigh. Small round green veggies! Wait. . . no, I just remembered! One more video! If you like Rhett and Link like me, there's news goin' 'round about a #GMM war! Watch here if you're interested, and now, small round green vegetables! News! Real news! Newsy news! Here, with News Newsman! Let's see. . . It's October, Green Day woke up, the government shut down, Texas Senator Ted Cruz took 21 hours to read a bedtime story to his kids, autumn is here, and it's actually cold in my house. Oh, and Oneboredjeu did my song request. Anon is revealed. How about that? Well, I'm editing my All About Me page since I'm still freaked out after a security online presentation at school. Though someone probably could steal my identity. I've got a blog draft saved here, just don't really know what I'm doing with it. It has a bunch of songs n' stuff in it. I'll publish it somedayyyy. . . And even though it's not a problem for me anymore, guys. Please. Stop with the spam/trolling/whatever. It seems like it haven't stopped with Hope, and it's hitting her hard. Last time I got useless messages, I exploded, and if she's anything like me she's exploding too. Honestly, you're just wasting your time. Now to lighten the mood, here's a random gif. Witchcraft!!
Ohhhhh, forget about the foxtrot, throw away the waltz, take away the two-step, and all that other schmaltz! Are you ready for what's been going on? It's a doozy, makes ya woozy, it's the new phenomenon! Have you heard about the mania? If not, then let me explain-ia, yes sir, it's the Transylvania Mania! Whether you're in Ruritania or a dance hall in Albania, yes sir, it's the Transylvania Mania! That is one of the songs we will be doing in choir for fall. (Sorry if I scared you.) I can't wait for winter though, because that's when we have all our pretty songs! Before I go, I give you the mission of listening to Symphonies by Dan Black NOT featuring Kid Cudi (because I like the original better) and please see for me if you can find any actual orchestra playing that music, or at least any instrumental without the beat and vocals. I dunno, ever since my brother showed me the song, I've always favored the actual symphony. Well, nice talk. ;) Small round green veggies! Sweater Weather is a weird name for a song, but is nevertheless still a good song by The Neighbourhood. And my friend said all love songs are slow! Pfffft. Speaking of friends, my bestie Kristen is starting her own website! She hasn't done much on there yet, so go visit now and brag to your hipster friends about how you "found it before it went mainstream". And go there before she might change the name of the site!! I urged her to name it weebly.weebly.com, but she didn't take the offer! If I ever make a second site, I'll name it that. Halloween is coming up 7 Thursdays from now, and I'm not really sure what I want to be/who I'm trick-or-treating with. And I will get my candy, one way or another! I was thinking some sort of doll. I want to do something with makeup, not to feel pretty or whatever, but to look innocent AND freak people out. I really wanna try a cracked porcelain doll look, but chances are my school won't allow huge amounts of makeup, which is exactly what I'm going for. Or a Barbie doll, but that's so BORRRRINGGGG. I don't think I've ever dressed up creepy or scary. It's all fun and games, but I want to hiss at people even with a cute costume. It'd be even better if it was homemade. But alas, I can't even make homemade cookies without box recipes. I dunno, I just want my costume to be more than a dress. Cuz' that's basically all of the Party City catalog. Dresses, corsets, and weird Morph-Suits. Comment your Halloween costume, maybe we could be Halloween twinsies! Small round green vegetables!
Since yesterday, I've been extremely happy. No idea why. I'm just really happy. I even woke up at 6 am today, happy. How does one wake up happy? At SIX IN THE MORNING?! It's just really strange. Well, here's a seemingly *happy* song that's really old but still really good: No Air by Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown! By the way, I'm still in love with Atlas by Coldplay. That's a happy song, right?
Well, I'll be working on school stuff and reading Ashes of Twilight and writing in my journal. Small round green vegetables! It's been two weeks since the first day of school, and I've turned in too much homework for me to count. . . I was gonna do a big rant about this, but you know. What'chya gonna do?!
Catching Fire, eh? Movie? I've watched the first one. Never read. Maybe I will, since my brother bought the book set during the summer. (Speaking of books, I'll be posting a lil' something something over at the Books n' Writing Blog after this!) Anyway, I just saw Coldplay's song for Catching Fire, Atlas. I don't think Vevo lets me post their videos on the site, so click here to open the song in a new tab! Isn't Coldplay great? Well, I'm excited to talk about books over here! So byee! It's the last day of summer! I don't know exactly what I feel, but Bloo, Stephen Colbert, and Smosh sets the mood pretty well. It's weird how much I'm dreading the first day of school when just a few months ago I was like, Summer was fun, agreed? Except the random flood that popped up in the street today. Literally, my parents and I are in the van to go out one last time, and then there's all these random people watching a big, dirty river going down the street. This is the only photo I got. . . Can you believe the weirdness of this situation? It's summertime in the desert, and not only is it raining and flooding the day before the first day of school, it's raining and flooding on the street I go wait for the bus. Well, I'm relistening to all of the summer tunes of this blog, starting from Bittersweet Summer on June 5. Yes, now it's definitely bittersweet, but now for the opposite reason: I'm sad it has to end, but I miss my friends! (But I'm actually more introverted than you think. . .) To end this post (and the summer D: !!) here are a few songs. First, I literally just discovered this mashup of two Florence + The Machine songs, Shake it Out and Cosmic Love. (Clicking below will take you to a Tumblr page!) Next, one of Miley Cyrus's new songs (dat gurl is craaaayy), Wrecking Ball. This next song is by a popular artist/actress/whatever in the Philippines, Sarah Geronimo. It's called Sweetest Mistake. I actually was among the first to hear this live! I saw her show while I was in the Philippines, at the Trinoma Mall. I was in the crowd listening to this. Can you believe it??! Well, that was fun, right? Spongebob and I will go freak out about tomorrow now. . .
MyMusic on August 20th, Good Mythical Morning on September 3rd, Legend of Korra on September 13th (Friday the 13th!) Look at all that stuff for me to look forward to! :D Moving on. . . I love me some conflict. The tragedy. The ANGST. And I think it shows up in the type of music that I post on this site. So now let's listen to some of the happier/funnier songs I love! Yayy! First, a new one by Katy Perry, Roar! I'm probably gonna get sick of this song once I hear it play everyday on the school bus, but it's nice for now! Who doesn't love Tobuscus? Here's a song by him. Show it to your foreign grandma. A great song by Matt Hires, Restless Heart, is next up! It was actually free on iTunes once, so I was able to get it! It reminds of me of Mumfords & Sons, actually. Another once free iTunes song, Little Numbers by BOY! You got it, free iTunes. MUST BE FREE. If you want this song, buy the album! There's actually a lot more happy songs that I like, but I think this is happy enough, right? . . .No? Fine, have some song titles.
Brave by Sara Bareilles Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth Riviera Life by Caro Emerald Almost Home by Mariah Carey It's a Beautiful Day by Michael Buble Stars (Hold On) by Youngblood Hawke We Come Running by Youngblood Hawke Okay, that's far too much happy. See ya! Fanvids are some best things ever, because you discover new songs (yay!) while having feels (almost sorta double yay!) Which is exactly what this one for ATLA did, because now I know Get Up by Barcelona! I'd like to call it the "We Might Not Make It Home Tonight" song, but it's a bit long, and I guess "Get Up" made more sense for the end of the video. But enough commentary! Let's dwell in the sweet, sweet sounds of Barcelona! Speaking of music, season 2 of MyMusic is coming on the 20th, if you guys are interested. I AM, MWAHAHAHA!!
Oh, and I forgot to tell you guys that my birthday was on the 3rd, and it was well spent in the Philippines xD I keep forgetting to talk about it! Well, small round green vegetables! |
